I did a little investigation on the speed of walkers in both Caesar3 and
Zeus: I started with a little town with enough workers, put down a maintenance
office and a long, straight road and started counting the "ticks" the little man
After 60 ticks, the officer had walked exactly 4 tiles. I ran the experiment for a full month, and in one month are 816 ticks. It seems the models are the same in C3 and Zeus.
- 1 month = 816 ticks
- 4 tiles = 60 ticks
- 1 tile = 60/4 = 15 ticks
speed of a normal walker = 816/15 = 54.4 tiles/month = 652.8 tiles/year
With this number we can calculate the speed of other people, which is listed in the game model files.
